Confluence of Snake and Columbia rivers - Sacajawea State Park, WA. The Corps of Discovery had reached the fabled Columbia and felt increasingly confident. They were met by the Yakima and Wanapam tribes. Thanks to help from Twisted Hair and Tetoharsky, the council was friendly and productive. The chiefs were presented with Jefferson peace medals.
